This is a place for those passionate about textile arts  and textile history.

Weaving, fabric, various types of clothing, pattern making, sewing, embroidery, trimmings such as lace, and ribbon, have been part of my life now for over 25 years.

I started to work professionally with textiles when I gained a qualification in tailoring  in 1993. Since then I have been working as a tailoress, pattern maker and head of creative design for a leading romanian fashion brand. During this time I have continued to study, and enrich my knowledge in the textile field. 

10 years ago my passion for traditional textiles gave birth to two parallel activities; designing one-off garments and collecting pieces of old textiles. I started collecting old textile pieces for research and to reconstruct  focussing my study on the development of needlework techniques and cultural/other influences on textile arts.  Also, I study the evolution of the needlework techniques and the cultural interference which determined the dynamics in the textile field.

For the last three years I have dedicated myself to the study of cultural heritage in order to bring a scientific dimension to my work.
